About Lauren
Hi! My name is Lauren Li, and I'm currently a freshman studying English and Media Studies with a potential minor in Creative Writing at the University of California, Berkeley. In the past, I've had experience editing essays/narratives, tutoring in regards to English/writing, have won multiple regional and national writing awards, and currently hold a 4.0 GPA in college. Above all, I'm extremely passionate about literature and language, and love helping high schoolers and middle schoolers, wether it be analyzing text for a paper or editing any college essays.

Usually with new students, I'd love to briefly get to know them (who they are, what they're interested in, what they specifically need help/want to improve on, anything unique, etc.) in order to develop a tutoring style/plan that would work best for them. Ultimately, I'm dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming enviornment for any student while also making sure you recieve a quality education experience. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any specific questions or input that you think will help with the overall tutoring experience!
My tutoring experience in the past has typically been with highschoolers in regards to their reading ACT/ English papers/rhetorical analysis or College essays (such as the Common App) that have helped get them into Ivy League colleges or a full ride to their state school. I've also had some experience helping college freshmen in editing academic essays (which have all recieved A's), but I'm flexible and will work to help anyone I can in their writing endeavors!
