About Joely
I've been taking advanced English classes since middle school. Specifically, I took AP literature and composition and AP language and composition. I also started a writing center at my local middle school when I was a junior in high school. Since then, I've continued writing along with tutoring and editing for students ranging in age from 9-18. I will also be a writing tutor at my university starting in the fall.

My typical process will start with a conversation about what your goals are. Then we can make a list of our priorities in working together, discuss how you learn best, and the get started! I will be sure to check in with you throughout our meetings to make sure we are using our time optimally.
I have worked with students of all abilities. Most of my experience is with students with learning disabilities or behavioral problems. I also have experience tutoring students iin reading, along with the writing and editing process.

Details
My standard rate is $50 per hour. My sessions include closely working with my students so that I can monitor their progress while also evaluating their existing skills. I provide a very personalized style of tutoring that allows me to uniquely help each student I work with.
