About Jermane

I love helping my students reach their drumming and percussion goals. I like to teach from a real world perspective and I draw from 25 years of being a live performer to give from the gig knowledge of what you need in order to be a drummer. I don't just teach exercises and reading I teach how to apply the knowledge in a musical manner. I do encourage and teach all of my students to read music however, if a student doesn't want to learn to read I will teach them how to play by ear. My lessons are Taylor made for each student. I have an AA in Jazz Performance and I am alumni of the 77th U.S. Army band. I have taught drum lessons at Guitar Center , Sam Ash and the School of Rock.

I love giving my students the gift of music. I love seeing my beginner students walk in on their first lesson and not even know how to hold a drumstick and then a few months later they are learning songs. It brings me great joy to help other drummers achieve their musical goals. Teaching gives us a way to leave a legacy and I hope to leave a legacy of great drummers that have tremendously benefitted from Jddrumstyles' lessons.

I have a degree in Jazz Performance and I have been a private lessons instructor of 21 years now. I taught out of Musicians Discount Center for 4 years and maintained a drum studio of 35 clientele while there. I have also taught for Guitar Center Hallandale as well as for Sam Ash Coconut Creek. I teach drumset , basic piano, marimba , xylophone , orchestral and rudimental lessons on snare drum.

About the lesson

I determine the level of the student and find out their musical goals. Once this is discovered I customize the lessons to meet those needs and/or goals.

I have worked with beginners, child prodigy's and special needs students as well.
