My son started on drums with Jeromy when he was 6. He was told he wasn't just learning drums, but studying percussion. At thirteen now my son is playing at a college level. We get to discuss conservatory instead of college. He plays, five octave marimba with four mallets, tenors, snare, bass, trap, timpany, piano and anything he can find around the house. Jeromy inspired a passion that brought about practice and enthusiastic play. Jeromy has a good way with kids and he cares about development. He can be hard when needed but encourages and praises accordingly. They generally had a good time. Music can be difficult or it can be fun. Jeromy helps to make it the latter rather than the former.

J. Bailey has been giving my son and daughter drum lessons for many years. He started with both of them when they were five y/o and my son is now in 8th grade. J. Bailey was amazing at tailoring his lessons to each child’s learning style and adopting unique approaches (LEGO sheet music!) to keep things fun and interesting for them.
