About Ryan
I have a lot of passion for what I do, and I inject that passion into my teaching. I will offer lectures, demos, and formal critiques for my students. What I give is the ability for you to borrow my eye until your eye can interpret three dimensional concepts on a two dimensional surface as good as I can. My goal is to get each student as good as I am, and better if possible.
What I love most is the practice, and the craft. Everything about the experience of drawing and painting is unlike any other. I love the smell of the paints, and the challenge of drawing. I have a strong will to reach a high level of draftsmenship, and I hope to help others to reach that same level. I understand how hard it can be to even begin to start a drawing, and I hope to make that process easier to approach.
My passion first came about when I was being mentored. The love and care that went into that mentorship was ultimately what inspired me to want to start teaching.
I have trained a lot in figure, portraiture, still life, etc... Primarily a lot of focus on figure, and portraiture.

Serious students. Students looking to get into making art for a living.
Do your research! Look into what it is you want to learn. There is a lot of content out there; some of it is great, but a lot of it is lacking a solid foundation. Be mindful of where you get your training.

Details
I offer the first session free. After that it's $15 an hour. Each session will last about 2-3 hours depending on availability. We can work out time constraints to best fit your schedule.
