About Ginny Ray
With dancing, teaching is a natural progression. Once it becomes your chosen career teaching comes along with the continual dance training. That was the case for both of us.
We have both been dancing since childhood. From ballet to ballroom. It's in our blood. Despite having gone to school for dance and some certifications we have, life experience...actually doing the dancing... has been our best training.

Depending on your goals, your first lesson will be an introduction to the material we discuss in our preliminary conversations. From there we decide on a mutual schedule and how to best achieve these goals. Then it's off to the races!
We have a team of competitive students that travel and compete with us. Dance is also their passion. Plus we work with students who use their lessons to better their social dancing skills out at Salsa venues and the like...as well as couples getting ready for their first dance as husband and wife. We have also worked with people on skills necessary for advanced dancing such as stretching and strength for dancers. We've worked with everyone from first dancing steps to aspiring professionals.
Talk to the teacher! Make sure they can communicate with you and understand your needs. Take a lesson or two and make sure it's a good fit and don't feel obligated to stick to one instructor if your experience is less than satisfactory.

Do you need advice on what your dance goals might be?
Dance teachers should be experienced enough to walk you through some of these issues even before your first lesson. They should also be asking you these things as you go along to better give you what you need.

Details
Lessons are 45 minutes. We have access to several studio spaces in the area and can work with people at a location that is convenient for both parties. We charge $95/per lesson. In between lessons you have access to us via phone/text/video if necessary free of charge.
