About Rebecca
I am a professional dancer and actor who in addition to teaching and choreographing also works as a performer. I hold a BFA in Dance and Musical Theatre from the University of the Arts where I graduated with honors. Other training includes Carnegie Mellon University, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Steps on Broadway and The Verdon Fosse Estate. While my teaching experience has brought me throughout Northern New Jersey I currently teach at the BergenPAC in Englewood, New Jersey where I teach Theatre Dance, Jazz, Tap, Acting, Pre- Ballet and Audition Preperation. I teach a wide range of ages from 4 years old to college level both in class and private lesson form. Both my performance and choreographic/teaching resume are available upon request.

When first meeting a new student, I discuss with them what their goals are and what experience they have already had up until this point. Learning about the student helps me understand what they would like to learn specifically and it helps me assess where a good starting place to work from is. It also gives us a chance to get acquainted and comfortable working together!
I have worked with a wide range of students beginning with young children who are learning how to use their creativity and start their dance journey through to the high school and college level where students are pursuing careers in theatre and preparing for auditions.
It is important that a student discuss with a new teacher what their goals and interests are as well as their past experience and training that leads them to their current position. Hearing about a students goals and what they have done in the past helps a teacher properly assess the level of he student and how to nourish their strengths while also challenging them to improve.
