About Annmarie
Riverfront Performing Arts was created in the summer of 2016 to fill a need in the greater Mankato area for year-long children's theatre instruction and performance opportunities, innovative music education, and dance classes in varied disciplines. We are committed to excellence with our professional teaching staff, affordability with family friendly graduated tuition rates and diversity within our student body. We will build on the strong foundation of Fine Arts School of Ballet (established 2007), expanding its mission of "Educating the Child as Dancer, the Dancer as Artist, the Artist as Contributor to the Community" to all ages and all of the performing arts. We are dedicated to serving the entire community and giving professional instruction and attention to both the once a week student and the pre-professional.
We pride ourselves in having the most professional staff in the area, from young working artists with fresh and original teaching styles to seasoned professionals with over 30 years performing and teaching experience.
We are a small studio with more performance opportunities for all students. We value all equally from the aspiring professional to the once a week student.We have a professional conservatory atmosphere with theatre, music and dance students working alongside each other.
In our oldest division, dance, students have been accepted to elite programs such as the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, American Ballet Theatre and North Carolina School of the Arts. They have danced professionally in companies such as Minnesota Dance Theatre, Continental Ballet, Madison Ballet, St. Paul Ballet, and Danny Burcheski's JazzDance.
