About Aerick
I was featured as an on-air choreographer and dance partner for Oxygen's hit competition weight loss show Dance Your A** Off. While dancing my way into the finale, I found himself cultivating a signature style of cardio fitness that would be a fun challenge for recreational dancers. Old School Skinny is all about that feeling of togetherness we had at house parties back in the day. Regardless of age or ability, the throwback cardio grooves allow everyone to get lost in the moment and release their inner Soul Train dancer. The energy is electric and the hand picked playlist of hits from the 80s and 90s are invigorating spiritually as well as physically. Its a fun approach to shedding unwanted pounds and will literally have you dancing everywhere you go. Each class is a unique experience so bring BIG energy and get ready for a funky good time!
The transformation is my favorite part. When students dont give up and stick with their lessons, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. Ive seen the "I have two left feet" people dancing like they're on tour with Janet Jackson. Its a fire that burns on the dance floor and in their everyday lives. Seeing students accomplish their goals is greatly rewarding and gives so much purpose to my work. I know that every student isnt that same so coming up with insight, structure, and dance exercises specifically for them is a great way for me to continuously find new ways to inspire those I work with.
