About Devante
D. Williams Dance Academy is a dance company that trains all levels of dancers. As you tour our website you will find that we offer various styles of dance on a recreational and competitive level. We take pride in preparing our students for the competitive world of dance as well as the entertainment industry. At DWDA, Dance is Life and Life is Dance.
I was insprired by artists like Usher and Michael Jackson. I watched music videos and then ventured into classes and training from there.
I have been dancing and training for 15 years and teaching for 8 years. My training extends from Ballroomto Hip-Hop with all styles in between except for Tap.

When it comes to new students, my focus is to make sure they feel comfortable and safe enough to express themselves. I will then proceed to assess their current abilities and skills and map out projection of where they will/should be after the end of each semester.
I’ve worked with a range of students from kids starting at age 4 to working with adults as old as 77.
Go for what feels right as well as who you feel will take you to the next level.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should have an idea of what they’d like to take or train in, but they don’t have to have it all together. It’s the instructors job to help guide them.
