About Cheryl

The instructors you will be working with LOVE teaching and LOVE their students! We have cumulatively been teaching here in Anchorage for 50 years and counting :) We are professionally trained and certified through Fred Astaire Dance Studio. Plus, we have had coaching from over 30+ coaches over the past several years. We love to dance, teaching, and all our students ... and it shows!

About the lesson

Whether you've danced before, or think you have two left feet, you've come to the right place. The Anchorage Fred Astaire Dance Studio is the premier dance studio.

When you sign up for lessons at the Fred Astaire Ballroom, you'll get to choose from multiple dance styles and approaches. And our welcoming studio environment makes our studio the perfect place to hone your skills, no matter at what level you are currently.

The Anchorage Fred Astaire Dance Studio has been teaching Alaskans to dance for over 40 years. We are experts in partnership dancing. We love to take brand new students out on the floor and turn them into comfortable and confident social dancers. We have specially designed programs, utilizing the three-way system of teaching, that will have you walking in and dancing out before you know it. For our more advanced students, we have classes that will make you stand out on the dance floor. And for our pre-teen and teens, we continue to use the three-way system, but in dance packages we put together just for you (with special pricing).

Another specialty for us is our Wedding Programs. It is our desire to help couples create First Dances that are an everlasting expression of their love and commitment as well as just plain fun!
