About
I offer a needs assessment for our initial session to hear from you what your problem areas/ topics of interest are. We will discuss what you want to accomplish from our study sessons. From there, I'll develop a lesson plan to guide us forward. We will regularly drill particular topics and evaluate comprehension before moving forward. My goal is to help you meet your goals. You will get out of this what you put into it. I also expect my students to show up to study sessions with questions and a general idea of what we are covering to help them get the most out of our time together. I put 110% into our sessions because I want you to walk away feeling the session was worth the investment.
I love teaching... As much as my chosen profession in nursing is about caring for people, there is a huge component revolving around teaching and ongoing education. Over the years, I have precepted new nurses and guided nursing students in clinical settings. These days, I have really enjoyed 1:1 tutoring, in addition to my career as an active RN. I look forward to working with you!
I am an actively employed RN with two degrees ( nursing and dental hygiene). I am a TEFL certified instructor. BLS certified. PALS, ACLS.

About the lesson

Discussing trouble areas in advance and then developing customized lesson plans going forward. Prior to each session, the student will need a generalized understanding of the topic at hand and will need to come to the lesson prepared with questions about the material. We will discuss the topic, drill a few key points, and then verify understanding of the topic covered. Occasionally, a small bit of homework may be assigned at my discretion in order to achieve academic success of the covered topic. Topics for the next lesson will be discussed at the end of the current lesson.

Details
$40/ hr for upper level students and $33/ hr for pre-k through first grade. Both set rates are non-negotiable.
