About Dominique
I adjust the way that I teach to the student and use what msterials they have whether that being school work, homework, projects, etc. I am also a firm believe that in hearing a language, the student learns it quicker and more efficiently, even if they stop learning the language, they will remeber a lot of the language.
I enjoy helping students, that is why I'm studying neuroscience so I can figure out the best way to help. Pre-Med so I can help them physically. There are so many way I can help people but currently, tutoring is one of those ways the I will take it because not only the student will learn but I will learn lots from the student as well.
I volunteered to tutor kids in high school and I really enjoyed doing it.
Currently I am getting my Bachelors in Science for Neuroscience along with doing the Pre-Med track. In high school I was often a tutor for ASL and music. I also helped students with Spanish as well. So I have done a lot tutoring throughout high school and a little bit in college.

I like to see what level students are at, whether that being music or languages, finding out what level they are is important cause it give me an idea where to start. It also shows me what of student they are. If they speak and understand, if they don't speak but do understand, if they speak but don't understand, and many more. By knowing this I can adjust my teaching in order to strength their weaknesses. Same applies to music.
I have worked with kids younger than me (like 10-14) and I have worked with kids around my age or so (15-19). If I am working with kids younger than ten, I would like to work with them face to face because kids that are younger prefer intimate interactions and learn best that way. However, given the circumstances with the virus, I am willing to work with them through the internet via Skype or Zoom.
