About Tiffany

I have been tutoring and working with kids ever since I was in high school. I have a holistic approach toward education and incorporate my mindfulness practices from my work as a yoga teacher into my sessions. I believe kids can only absorb information in a judgement and temper free environment.

I have a love for people, especially children. I am currently receiving my masters in human development, so I am very educated in the different phases of development. I believe every child has his/her own strengths and passions. As an educator, I believe we need to help our kids find those talents and help strengthen them.

I have a strong background in my own education experience as well as working with kids of all ages. I would love to share my gifts and practices with you and your family!

I enjoy seeing the innocence in students and helping to create more aha moments in a student's educational experience. There is no greater feeling when I am able to see a concept click for a student.

I try to educate in a practical way that will work for the student. This differs among each child, but given the fact that I have been in this field for so long and got to experience different educational practices, I am able to identify learning styles more quickly on and provide in that capacity. The journey of navigating this in my work is fulfilling to me.

I was always a strong student myself and began teaching based on referrals from some adults around me.

About the lesson

I like to have an initial screening before working with a new student, either on the phone or in person. This invovles learning basic information about the student including school, grade level, and family composition.

I use my intuitive senses during my sessions to gear me in the way I feel would best benefit the student.

I have worked with autistic students and students that come from varying grade levels.

I would advise a student to try out a session with a few different tutors that seem to look appealing and stay consistent with the one who is able to best guide him/her in learning.

Recently, I have been fond of the vulnerable conversations that people have been more willing to have while navigating difficult times.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Some questions may include why they have those certain needs. For example, if it's distraction, to take note of the moments that the student gets distracted and where his/her mind shifts to. One can dig even deeper and ask why their mind shifts there.

Intention is of great importance and knowing your intention on why you think you need a teacher/tutor can give you a lot of information.
