About Janet

Listed actress with Pastorini-Bosby Talent Agency in Houston, TX since 2004 performing in TV commercials and industrial films, full feature films ("Outlaw Blues" (OC); "Love Mary" (VOC) in 2007 now on Netflix; Member (actor, teacher, playright, director, propmaster, costumer) of Lakewood Church drama team "The Lakewood Players" since 2002 under direction of Wendell Burton (lead in movie "Sterile Cuckoo" opposite Liza Minelli); Performing onstage and in film since 1964 in 300+ plays and sketches (Pasadena Little Theatre, Baytown Little Theater, Dickinson Harbor Theater, A.D. Players (won "Best Community Player" in 1985), Lakewood Church (numerous sketches and music video "Back to the Cave" (dancer and sole costumer of 25 cast members); Studied Theater Sam Rayburn High School with "Drama Scholarship" in 1967 to Lon Morris Junior College, Jacksonville, TX (teacher Mrs. Pearson who taught Broadway performers Tommy Tune and Sandy Duncan); Emerson School of Drama, Boston, MASS with " Summer Stock Internship" at Orleans Arena Theater, Cape Cod; University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ with several performances at local dinner theatres, Rice University in Houston; Studied acting in Los Angeles, CA with Eric Morris (author of "Acting is Believing"), Stanley Brock (TV commercials), Jeremiah Comey (Cold Readings) and SAG film actors: John Cassavetes, Jack Colvin, Jeff Corey; Taught Children's Workshop Theater at Pasadena Little Theater 2007/2008/ 2009 and at Morales Elementary public school afternoon program 2010/2011

Acting has been my passion since age 8! I especially love helping other actors to develop their craft.

53 years of performing, studying, directing, teaching. Some of my teachers have been William Prosser, University of Arizona; Eric Morris (author of "Acting is Believing"); John Cassavetes, Film Star; Jeff Corey, character film actor; Wendell Burton, starred opposite "Liza Minelli" in "The Sterile Cuckoo" (improv); Jeremiah Comey; Stanley Brock, Commercials, etc.

About the lesson

Acting is believing! My goal is to help the actor make believable choices via acting exercises and character development and to learn to listen to other actors in order to have an honest response!
