About Tom
Tom Miller is a Nationally Recognized Performance Artist living and working in Gainesville, Florida. He holds a BA in acting from the University of Florida, is a filmmaker, actor, writer, and musician with four decades of stage and film acting experience. Miller is trained in Advanced Alexander Technique (Prof. Kathy Sara), Advanced Lessac Voice Technique (Prof. Yanci Bukovek), Chekhov, Adler, and Stanislavski (Prof. Tim Altmeyer), and theatre history (Prof. Gregg Jones.) Story-telling is at the root of all culture. Without it, no culture and without culture, human beings literally could not survive on the face of the earth. I want to help you achieve a transcendence in your acting, equip you with valuable tools, and help you build confidence, range, and depth so your story-telling will be the best it can be.
Tom Miller holds a BA in Acting from the University of Florida and an AA from Santa Fe College in Theatre Arts. Tom MIller is a Kennedy Center Award Nominee for Sound Design and is currently in his final Semester for his MFA in Screenwriting in the David Lynch Screenwriting Program at Maharishi International University. Tom began his acting career at the age of twelve with Ruth Forman, First Lady of Florida Theatre and has been on stage performing and acting four decades later. He has directed Off-Broadway, and has national recognition for many of his plays and Performance Art works. His speciality is to give practical independent consultation that can have life-long and immediate improvement in all areas of acting, performance, screenwriting, and public speaking.
