About Molly

I have been tutoring in the ACT for one year, with great reviews from all my students. I go above and beyond to teach my students each concept and testing skills for every section.

I have tutored for various subjects all through high school and I love the accomplishments that my students make. I pride myself on making sure that they fully understand each concept and that they feel confident when it comes time to test.

I have taken AP and honors classes in each section and got a 32 on my ACT when I took it in 2016. since then, I have created in-depth notes and explanations of each section, as well as a host of supplemental practice.

About the lesson

Our first session is spent going over each section of the test and reviewing past scores if the student has already taken the ACT before. I take notes on the struggles and successes in each section, and how timing went during their last test. From there, we schedule upcoming sessions and spend about a week on each section before taking another full ACT practice test, and continue the work from there.

I have worked with students as young as 7th grade, and up to college freshmen. I also have experience with students who have ADD, ADHD, or require extra patience and explanations.

Look for a teacher or tutor who has notes and in-depth knowledge of the test. Being able to go over each question and work through the steps is one of the quickest ways to improve your score.

I generally charge $25 an hour. Online tutoring companies will charge up to $55 an hour to meet with a tutor just like me. for instance, when I worked for Varsity Tutors, they charged upwards of $50 an hour when I was making $15.
