About Stephanie
I have been teaching English as a second language since I joined the JET (Japan Exchange and Teaching) Program to teach in Japanese junior high schools. Since then, I have continued to teach English both in private lessons and in institutions. I have taught English as a second language for teenage and adult international students that come to the USA to enter an American university to continue their studies. I have taught all levels of English from very beginner to upper advanced / Master's level English, with a specialty in advanced grammar and academic writing. I have also taught test preparation for such English proficiency and college entrance exams as TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC and GRE and have also proctored some of these tests.

I love using real articles from magazines and internet as well as literature, short stories etc, for teaching purposes. I want to make language learning interesting and fun. Having a discussion on what we read is a very important part of my lessons as I can check comprehension and vocabulary as well as elicit opinions and new ideas, which many language tests require for high scores. My lessons are for any student who wants to improve his English, pass tests for university admission, advance in his job, or move abroad.
