About Angela
Writing
I am a qualified and experienced Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working across children and families, child protection and criminal justice services in Scotland.
I hold an MA (Hons) in Psychology, an MSc in Social Work Studies and an MSc in Child Protection. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of frontline and senior practitioner roles, including supervising and supporting other professionals, undertaking complex assessments and preparing reports for courts and other formal proceedings.
Alongside my employed roles, I work as an Independent Social Worker, completing specialist assessments and reports. This has allowed me to develop strong skills in research, critical analysis, reflective practice and professional writing.
I am passionate about supporting others to develop their knowledge and confidence, particularly students who are beginning their journey into social work or psychology. I understand that academic study can sometimes feel overwhelming, particularly when balancing assignments, placements and other commitments.
My approach is friendly, patient and down to earth. I believe learning should be supportive and engaging, and I enjoy helping people make connections between academic theory and real-life practice.

As an experienced social worker with a background in children and families, child protection and criminal justice, I offer practical, supportive and engaging sessions that help students build their knowledge, confidence and understanding.
