About Heather
My experience is in teaching primary classes (at all ages and levels) but also working 1-1 with children who need extra support. In addition to my mainstream teaching experience, I also spent many years teaching in special needs education with the need to tailor each lesson to each individual child. I believe that each child learns differently and getting to know their learning preferences it the key to engaging and motivating them.

I am a friendly and personable teacher. I love teaching and finding out what motivates a person to then use it to engage them in learning. I believe that my years of travelling earlier in life have stood me in good stead to provide my pupils with a full and rich education, to encourage them to be independent and flexible thinkers and to view the world and everyone in it with an open mind. I am skilled at providing lessons across the primary curriculum.
