About Jonathan
I am a music undergraduate student who has very versatile experience as a pianist who has performed solo recitals, pop bands, rock bands, musicals, and more. I have more than three years of teaching experience and with students ranging from all age groups.
As a pianist, I was honored to play in the Liszt International Competition help in Budapest, Hungary in 2019 as a finalist. I have also won the 1-st runner-up of the Hong Kong Online Music competition 2020 and have performed in more than 40 occasions in the past 2-3 years.
I believe my experience with performance will allow me to teach you how to be a performer, but not just playing the piano.
I am able to teach grade 1 up to grade 8 piano and up to grade 8 music theory.

As a student myself, I understand the struggles and problems students face better than anyone. I have experienced bad teachers, misleading paths and I have summarized all of these problems in order to help others to improve in piano or music theory as fast as they can.
I will focus the most on practicing techniques to help you actually understand how to play on your own and learn to play but not just teaching single pieces. I will also teach you how to interpret music as an art but rather than just musical notes printed on pages.
