About Rebeca

¡Hola! I’m Rebeca, a native Spanish teacher with extensive experience teaching Spanish to students of different ages and levels.

I am passionate about languages and enjoy helping students become more confident and comfortable using Spanish in real-life situations. I believe that learning a language should be both effective and enjoyable, so I create a friendly, supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them.

I have taught Spanish in primary and secondary schools, further education and adult learning settings, and I currently teach both adult learners and GCSE and A Level students.

Alongside teaching, I have over 20 years of professional experience working with the Spanish language as a translator, editor and proofreader. I have worked on educational and publishing projects for organisations including Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, Pearson and Scholastic.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Translation from The Open University, awarded with Distinction, and studied Spanish Language and Literature at the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) in Spain.

Whether you are learning Spanish from scratch, preparing for GCSE or A Level, improving your conversation skills or simply want to feel more confident speaking Spanish, I would be delighted to help you achieve your goals.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you enjoy learning Spanish!

About the lesson

I am an experienced, native Spanish teacher with over six years of experience teaching Spanish as a foreign language to adults, secondary school students and further education learners. I teach from beginner to advanced level and specialise in GCSE and A Level Spanish, including exam preparation.

My lessons are personalised to each student's level, goals and learning style. I use a communicative and practical approach, combining conversation, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, reading and writing to help students develop confidence and make steady progress.

For GCSE and A Level students, I provide structured exam preparation, targeted practice and detailed feedback.

For adult learners, lessons can be tailored to your individual goals, whether you want to improve your conversation skills, prepare for a holiday or move to a Spanish-speaking country, or develop your Spanish for work.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are delivered online in a relaxed, supportive and professional environment. I provide personalised materials and resources as part of the lessons.

My aim is to make Spanish enjoyable, practical and relevant while helping every student achieve their individual goals.
