About Hannah
Hannah is a multi-genre vocalist based in Manchester with over 20 years of experience performing across jazz, classical/operatic, musical theatre, and pop styles. Hannah graduated from the University of Manchester with degrees in Music (MusB) and Ethnomusicology (MusM), with training focused on Vocal Performance and Research centred on vocal development and singing post-trauma. Since graduating, Hannah has gained experience in teaching and mentoring across all ages, with particular focus on technique, imagination, and embodied vocal practice to ensure accessibility regardless of prior experience. She also continues to engage with theoretical and practice-based pedagogy to ensure her teaching is continuously up to date.
Hannah is committed to the idea that everyone can sing, and is supportive of her students' goals, whether that be increasing confidence in performance, working towards vocal exams, engaging with theoretical aspects of music, or beginning a relationship with music.
Hannah is an active member of AOTOS, and also regularly performs across Greater Manchester across jazz, operatic/artsong, choral, and musical theatre genres, having performance experience with various Mancunian institutions such as The Hallé, MCYO, Bridgewater Hall, Matt&Phreds, and Band on the Wall.
