About Sloane
I am a competitive mock trial and DECA student with strong experience in public speaking, business communication, and performance under pressure. I placed 2nd at the Washington State Mock Trial Competition and 2nd at an international mock trial competition. I have also received three individual mock trial awards from Furman University and UC Irvine. In DECA, I earned 3rd place at the state level and advanced to internationals in Human Resources and Business Management.
Through these experiences, I have developed effective strategies for clear communication, structured arguments, and confident delivery. I focus on helping students build practical speaking skills they can use in presentations, speeches, debate, and competitive events.
I am professional, organized, and committed to creating a supportive environment where students can grow at their own pace. My goal is to help students become more confident and effective communicators in any setting.

My tutoring approach focuses on helping students become confident, clear, and persuasive speakers through practice and real-time feedback. I use a hands-on method where students regularly speak, receive targeted feedback, and immediately apply improvements.
A typical lesson starts with a quick warm-up speaking prompt, followed by focused skill work such as organization, delivery, or argument-building. Students then practice speeches or responses, and we finish with feedback and specific goals for improvement.
What sets me apart is my competitive mock trial background, including 2nd place at the Washington State Mock Trial Competition, 2nd place at an international competition, and individual awards from Furman University and UC Irvine. I bring real competition experience and teach strategies used in high-pressure speaking environments.
These lessons are for middle school, high school, and early college students who want to improve public speaking, debate, presentations, or overall communication confidence.
