About Andy
The pleasure of teaching for me comes from the enjoyment of seeing others succeed. Maths is such an important core subject that it needs to be taught in ways that allow everyone to be able to access, enjoy and see the purpose in it. I love the challenge of students saying, "I still don't get it" as it reveals what else is needed, and perhaps what important learning is missing that we can then focus on and develop. My purpose is to explore a person’s learning and understanding and develop them individually into competent mathematicians.

Friendly and approachable with experience of tutoring SEND pupils in different environments. My approach is based on increasing students' confidence in their maths ability through developing a broad understanding of core concepts. I use a range of strategies and focus on developing key vocabulary to increase accessibility and reasoning capabilities. Lessons can be online or face-to-face (Nr. Ringwood, Hampshire).
