About Georgia
I have been tutoring in Maths, English and History in London for the last few years. I am an A* A-Level student about to begin my gap year, and enjoy helping kids reach for those A grades! From helping young ones to pass their Year 6 SATS to pushing GCSE students for their A, I offer engaging lessons in a comfortable environment. It has become clear to me that many students benefit from working with someone of a similar age to them, who has recently been through the exam stress they may be facing, as it allows for a level environment, where they feel comfortable to make mistakes and ask for help!

History can be a daunting subject for GCSE students - all that content! While I can't know the content of all the History specifications out there, I offer lessons on key History skills that you need to get that A*. For GCSE History tutoring sessions I focus on Essay writing, interpretation and source evaluation skills. I begin my sessions with the student looking through their course with them, identifying any gaps. I then prepare a plan for the following weeks - which I go through with the parents - on how best to target any weak skill based areas. With GCSE History, half the battle is how to answer the questions!
Although my sessions are mainly skill based, I do offer content lessons on the following courses:
- GCSE German History: 1871-1960
- GSCE British History: 1906-1957
