About Udayan

Hi, I’m Udayan, a Mathematics and Statistics university student at University of Toronto with experience tutoring students from Grades 9–12. I enjoy helping students understand math in a simple and practical way, especially when they feel that a topic is difficult or confusing.

I’m patient, approachable, and always willing to explain a concept in different ways until it makes sense. I believe a good tutor should create a comfortable environment where students feel free to ask questions and make mistakes while learning.

Whether you need help preparing for a test, understanding a difficult topic, improving your problem-solving skills, or building confidence in math, I’ll work with you at your own pace and adapt my lessons to your needs.

My goal is to make math feel less overwhelming and help you become more confident and independent in solving problems.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m Udayan, a university student studying Mathematics and Statistics. I have experience tutoring students from Grades 9–12 and I believe that every student learns differently.

My teaching approach is simple: I first understand what the student is struggling with, then explain the concept step-by-step in a way that is easy to understand. I focus on making sure students understand the “why” behind a question instead of just memorizing formulas or steps. I also use examples and practice questions to help students become more confident with the material.

A typical lesson starts with reviewing the topic and identifying any areas of difficulty. We then work through examples together, followed by practice questions where I gradually let the student solve problems independently. At the end, I review the key ideas and make sure the student feels comfortable with the topic.

What sets me apart is my patience and ability to adapt my teaching style to each student. If one explanation doesn't make sense, I’ll approach the concept differently until it does. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to make mathematics less stressful and more understandable.

My lessons are mainly suited for middle school and high school students who need help with mathematics, whether they are struggling with a specific topic, preparing for a test, completing practice problems, or simply looking to strengthen their understanding.
