About Tatiana

I am a pianist, piano and theory of music teacher reassure the students with my professionalism, inspire confidence, show their reliability. I taught more than 250 students during more than 30 years of my teaching experience, prepared them for Trinity, ABRSM, Unisa theory exams. All my students got outstanding results!

About the lesson

Hello everyone! My name is Tatiana. I am from Tomsk, Russia, and I began playing the piano at the age of six. At thirteen, I auditioned for and was accepted into a music school for gifted children, and during my four years there, I performed with the Novosibirsk Symphony Orchestra as a soloist, chamber musician, and accompanist. At fifteen, I won the Siberian and Far East Piano Competition and went on to win many other prestigious competitions and awards during my career. Later, I studied at Nizhny Novgorod Conservatory, one of the top music conservatories in Russia, where I graduated as a concert pianist, accompanist, chamber ensemble musician, and piano teacher. I went on to perform and teach as a senior lecturer at various colleges, music schools, and universities in Russia. I moved to South Africa in 2005 and have performed many solo concerts and piano duets around the country and in Zimbabwe. I have developed a reputation for excellence as a teacher, and as a result of the consistently high standard of achievement by my students in exams and National Eisteddfods, I was recognized by Trinity College of London as one of the best piano teachers in Johannesburg. I have consulted for Trinity College and assisted with the development and improvement of all exam-related issues from sight-reading to the choosing of exam pieces for their books internationally. Students who study with me will learn all the important aspects of music including ear training, sight-reading, technique, theory, and practical skills, and they are equipped to do exams from grade one right through to university entrance. I am a dedicated teacher and commit myself wholeheartedly to my students, often going above and beyond to ensure their success and development. I believe that all children, with persistence, hard work, and the active participation and support of their parents, can achieve a high standard of playing. I currently live in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am looking for a few more pupils to teach online. I continue preparing students for International Piano and Theory of Music working via Skype. I recommend that my students plan for two lessons per week: 1) piano and 2) musical knowledge, including theory of music, sight-reading, and aural training. Thank you.

Perfect! Tatiana is teaching my 15 year old daughter music theory since a few months now. Music theory might not be the most exciting topic in the world but she loves the lessons, would not miss one, she realises that Tatiana helps her a lot in understanding the topic. Tatiana is very patient, will repeat as much as necessary until the topic is understood, is very flexible if there is homework she needs help with. Tatiana makes the lesson fun, motivates my daughter. She has a lot of experience. She is a very friendly, competent and absolutely reliable teacher.
