About Ann
Hi! I majored in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language in college and hold a teaching certificate. I have 8 years of teaching experience and I’m fluent in English. Before moving to the U.S., I worked as a school teacher in China. My background has given me a strong understanding of both the foundations of teaching Mandarin and the challenges English-speaking learners face. Over the years, I’ve helped learners build literacy, gain confidence in speaking, and improve their academic performance and exam results. I hope to help more students achieve their Mandarin learning goals. Learners of all levels are welcome!

I use a structured YCT/HSK-based curriculum tailored to each student’s level, goals, and learning style. Lessons may include conversation, pronunciation, pinyin, character recognition, reading, writing, exam preparation, or school support, depending on the student’s needs. Each student receives an individual learning plan, regular feedback, and home practice guidance. I teach children and teens, from complete beginners to continuing learners, including heritage learners.
