About Caroline
With over 20 years’ experience in teaching, lecturing and course development, I am a qualified and highly experienced educator committed to helping students achieve their goals. I have taught a diverse range of subjects, including Creative Writing, English, Sociology, Psychology, Health and Social Care, Criminology, Employability and Mental Health Awareness.
I create supportive, inclusive learning environments where students can develop confidence, discover their strengths and enjoy learning. My teaching combines academic knowledge with extensive practical experience, and I adapt my approach to suit individual learning needs.

Professional profile I am an exemplary Lecturer and Manager with over 20 years’ experience of innovative, accredited course development, design, and delivery. I have taught a diverse suite of subjects including GCSEs, A levels and Undergraduate Sociology, Psychology, Counselling, Health and Social Care, Initial Teacher Training, Mental Health Awareness, Confidence Building, Stress Awareness, Creative Writing, Psychology of Crime, An introduction to Volunteering, An Introduction to Peer Mentoring, Criminology and Employability courses and Substance Misuse Awareness. As a Lecturer, I have achieved predominantly grade 1 and grade 2 OTLs and have acted as a model of “good practice” for the WEA as a Lead Tutor in Mental / Health and Wellbeing. I have also been a mentor for PGCE and PDGE students on placement at Salford Adult Learning and have extensive management experience in both the health and educational sectors. I have been a Moderator and Assessor for Level 1 and 2- Health and Social Care, Stress Awareness and Mental Health courses for the WEA (Workers Education Association). In this role, I was Lead Tutor for the Step into Care Programme, where over 80% of my students passed the accredited NCFE courses and over 75% achieved paid employment in the Health and Social field as a direct result of this course. In the majority of my teaching roles, I have designed, delivered and moderated for the following awarding bodies i.e. NCFE, Ascentis, City and Guilds, OCN and NOCN. I have also delivered Undergraduate Degree Level Cultural Studies for the University of Salford.
