About Theo

I’m a trumpet player who has played my whole life, and since moving to London for music college, I have built up a résumé, playing throughout the UK and Europe. Some of the things I have performed on include:
BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge with “Sekou”

Opening for the Black Eyed Peas in France at Arena- Les Sables d’Olonne.

A week in Paris with “Analog Society” playing at le 13eme Art.

A sold out mini tour in Spain with “Analog Society”

Along with frequent gigs in the London Jazz scene.

I’ve been lucky enough to receive teaching from some of the best trumpet players in the world, and have been told a lot of different methods and techniques so I understand how personal of an instrument the trumpet is and that one approach may work for one person but not the next. I’m looking forward to finding out what works for you! Alongside this, I am aware of how teachers act as role models for their students and the difference it can make having somebody passionate, that you can be yourself in front of and not be afraid to make mistakes.

About the lesson

I can offer personally tailored teaching to any level or age ranging from learning how to play for the first time, starting grades, to improvisation, jazz repertoire and jazz harmony. I have materials suitable for any standard of player available physically and digitally and can provide instruments for the course of the lesson, if needed. Lessons can range from 30 minutes to 2 hours.

Theo is a hugely impressive and versatile player who is sure to make a brilliant teacher. He is equally adept in Jazz as-well as pop/commercial fields. His deep understanding of the trumpet means he would be great at teaching to all levels, from complete beginners to people already comfortable with the instrument.

Having worked with Theo for a good few years now I can confidently say he is one of the most knowledgeable young musicians in London. He is passionate about both trumpet technique and jazz which is abundantly clear in his teaching. He has a kind, informative approach that I believe could suit any musician trying to further their studies.
