About Suzane

I am an experienced Human Resources Business Partner, over 20 years working experience, with a demonstrated history of working in the Petroleum, Explosives and Gas industry - Inbound and Outbound, Fleet and Depot Maintenance, Production / Operations, Maintenance as well as the Marketing and Sales, Finance and HR environment.
I obtained my B Degree in Human Resources Management and I am currently studying towards a BCom Honours in Industrial and Organisational Psychology which I'm planning to complete in 2020.

Management experience
• Experience in presenting at EXCO level and engaging in debates
• Managing my own team of HR consultants and HR Administrator (including, performance management and crucial conversations)
• Experience in rendering an HR service from top management (EXCO level) to the employees on various aspects as
required
• Good relationship with the customers including Leadership
coaching abilities
• Good understanding of the business model, customer needs
and challenges regarding suppliers and vendors

General HR experience
• Organizational Development – Change management and
Culture transformation
• Safety Culture transformation in collaboration with Behavioural
Transformation Specialist
• Support with implementation of new HR systems
(SAP Successfactors) as well as training employees on the
new system
• Recruitment, selection and onboarding

• Collaborate with Learning Manager to ensure Competency
assessments are done and Training Matrix per department
are set up
• Reporting of HR Dashboard (leave management, overtime,
incapacity management, trends on disciplinary sanctions etc)
to ensure employees and managers comply to HR
governance and compliance (overtime, acting allowance,
operational allowances / legal appointments)
• Audits and investigation of various elements eg excessive
sick leave, time and attendance
• Collaborate with line managers to ensure required SOP’s
(standard operating procedures) and
WI’s (works-instructions) are drafted for the various business
processes
• Support line managers with drafting / reviewing of job profiles
in order to submit for job evaluation (JE)

I approach each problem or challenge with the mindset that there are different reasons for a specific situation. Therefore, I will first understand the background of the situation in order to be able to give advice or guidance. People behavior plays a vital role in business, and therefore it is important to understand team dynamics and leadership style and how this play out into the work environment. Clear roles and responsibilities for each person is vital.

I will also support in establishing the required skills and competencies required for a job, as well as to guide the business in closing these gaps through training and development while building strong, engaged teams at the same time.
