Lessons can include performance coaching, aural training, composition, theory, music technology, and score analysis. With nearly two decades of experience in both independent and state schools, I am a passionate and highly qualified music educator, currently serving as Head of Music at a leading school in London. I hold a PGCE, QTS, and advanced leadership and musicianship qualifications, including professional training in solfège and the Kodály method. My teaching is enriched by an international perspective, having studied and worked across several European countries. I have extensive experience teaching GCSE, A Level, and IB Music, and I currently serve as an examiner for both GCSE and the International Baccalaureate. This ensures that my students are fully prepared for the academic standards of public examinations, scholarship assessments, and performance recitals. Alongside academic teaching, I am an active professional musician – a pianist, organist, choral conductor, and musical director – which allows me to bring real-world musical insight into my tuition.
