About Gary

I am an enthusiastic geography teacher with over 17 years experience in the classroom. I have traveled the world and keep up to date with current affairs. I have an excellent track record of linking content within my lessons to the world and events taking place. I have taught in the UK where I was Head of Department and have taught at one of the top achieving International Schools in Singapore where I was Head of Grade in addition to teaching Geography. I am currently living in the USA with my partner and son and looking to continue teaching / tutoring remotely.

About the lesson

I will adapt my teaching method and style to suit your needs. I have 16 years of experience in the classroom both in the UK and one of the top IB schools in Singapore. I have taught whole classes, small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
My lessons will be engaging, well structured, organised and easy to follow. I explain in detail and always seek ways to link to contemporary case studies.
My lessons are suited for IB / IGCSE / GCSE and A level students. Happy to support content / theory, work on exam technique, essay writing and coursework requirements of the Geography courses.
I am a hard working, well organised, understanding teacher who has an excellent track record of producing results.

Not only does he have a talent for breaking down complex concepts by starting with the big picture, but he uses case studies that are vibrant and genuinely interesting, which always aids the learning process. Gary tutored me through my Geography A Levels, helping me to understand the curriculum and pushed me to really engage with the course and develop my own understanding in a way which made the material exciting.
