I am a qualified and experienced Geography teacher with a strong track record of supporting students to achieve their best. About the lesson

I am an experienced and supportive Geography teacher with eighteen years of classroom and one-to-one experience. My lessons are structured, purposeful and tailored to the needs of each student. I aim to create an engaging and encouraging atmosphere where learners feel confident to ask questions, explore ideas and develop their understanding. I break topics down into clear, manageable steps and use a range of interactive activities, regular questioning and feedback to help students build both knowledge and exam technique. I have a strong academic background in Geography and a deep understanding of curriculum and assessment requirements. I have taught a range of specifications, including National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher. I also have experience tutoring in GCSE and A Level. Over the course of my career I have taught and tutored pupils of all abilities, supporting them to achieve excellent outcomes in exams and to develop a genuine interest in the subject. I also have extensive experience with distance learning and online tuition, and I am confident using digital tools and platforms to deliver engaging and effective lessons remotely.
