About Anna

I live in the United States with my spouse and adorable cat, where I enjoy gardening and cooking. I have a Doctorate in Education from the School of Education at the University of Glasgow and I am an ICF accredited coach. I have a master's in teaching degree with a specialization in teaching English to speakers of other languages.

I bring a special hybrid of coaching and tutoring to my clients, so they can clearly identify their learning goals and address obstacles specific to their contexts and language learning journeys. Working with me is truly collaborative as I help you not only develop your English skills but support you as your enhance your overall approach to learning.

In my professional career, I have worked with immigrants, refugees, international students, visiting scholars, subject areas experts, and organizational leaders. I have taught in charter schools, community colleges, research universities, and non-profit organizations.

About the lesson

I used a student-centered, communicative approach that enables you to learn parts of the language like tools, then apply those tools to a real life task. This is based on topics and goals that are important to you, which we identify together.

I have taught early beginners to advanced professionals and academics. I am comfortable supporting clients at various stages of proficiency from the start of their language learning journey to honing and perfecting their English for academic and business purposes.
