About Clementine
I hold a Classics degree from Cambridge and a Masters in Art History and Renaissance Culture from the Warburg Institute. My academic background reflects my deep love for history and literature, and I am passionate about sharing this enthusiasm with my students. Engaging with students and helping them discover the joys of learning is immensely rewarding for me and this creates a very positive environment in my lessons. I have extensive experience as a private tutor, assisting students from KS1 to A-level, with a special focus on GCSE and A-Level Latin and English. In particular, I have experience with students who lack confidence in their essay answers and unseen work and help them build a solid foundation in essay-writing and interpreting new material. I have also worked providing tours for individuals with a passion for history of art who wish to experience the incredible artwork on display in London. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring galleries, museums, and going to the theatre, which continually enriches my understanding and appreciation of the subjects I teach.

My chief aim is to build the tutoring sessions around the individual, understanding how best they learn and helping them to see their potential. When preparing for exams, practice papers are useful but so is having a deep understanding of the material you are learning and so I introduce engaging techniques to get to grips with texts and help students learn in addition to familiarising them with the questions they will face.
