About Anwar

Hi, I'm Anwar. I hold an M.S. in Mathematics and I have 12 years of teaching experience at elementary and secondary level, including mentoring teachers. I help students in Grades 1-8 build strong math foundations with clear, step-by-step explanations. I focus on understanding, not memorization. We use simple examples, pictures, and real-life problems so your child can explain the 'why' behind the answer, not just repeat it. Every lesson is patient and personal. We start from what your child already knows, fix gaps slowly, and practice until it feels easy. I teach online, in English, and I am happy to help with homework, catching up on missed topics, and building confidence for tests. Book a first lesson and let's see how your child learns best.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed for children in Grades 1 to 5 who are learning math for the first time or need to rebuild their confidence. We cover addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, place value, fractions, decimals, measurement and basic geometry.

I use clear, step-by-step explanations with simple examples, pictures and everyday problems so your child understands the reason behind each answer, not just the rule. Every lesson is patient and personal: we start from what your child already knows, fix weak areas slowly, and practice until the work feels easy.

I teach online in English. I am glad to help with homework, revision of missed topics and preparation for class tests. Each session ends with short practice so the learning stays and your child feels ready for the next step.
