About Elisabeth
I am driven by a genuine passion for teaching Classics. My aim is to empower learners to become resilient, resourceful thinkers who feel confident in their abilities and find joy in learning about the ancient world. Every session will be tailored to help individuals progress, achieve their personal goals, and unlock their academic potential through personalised, supportive tuition. Ultimately, I want to inspire a passion for Classics among students and promote Classics as a diverse, inclusive subject that students from a range of backgrounds can benefit from.

My tutoring style is highly personalised, focusing on the individual learning needs and strengths of each student. I set high expectations, provide regular and targeted feedback, and embed differentiation to extend and support learners of all abilities, including those with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, ASD, and ADHD. My sessions encourage reflection, growth mindset, and independence, and I make use of a wide range of resources—including online games and bespoke revision materials—to make learning more engaging and effective and provide material for revision outside of tutoring sessions.
I strive to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable, valued, and motivated.
I am a trained Classics teacher with 15 years of experience in UK schools with a First Class Honours degree in Classics, QTS and an Enhanced DBS.
Typical length of lessons are 60 - 90 mins.
Lessons are for anybody studying KS3 - KS5 Classics subjects (Latin and Classical Civilisation) - Common Entrance Level, GCSE and A Level.
