As a lifelong appreciator, performer, and composer of acoustic folk song, I am excited to return to my roots in classical guitar and share my deep love for music with beginners looking to explore this beautiful instrument.
For the past four years, I have run a weekly, open-ability, in-person music group. Through this, I have used song as a vehicle to help people meet, build community, and engage in meaningful musical discussions.
I bring this exact same collaborative, welcoming, and community-minded energy to my online guitar studio.
A Unique Background in Art, Science, and Mindset:
My background blends creativity, science, and human behavior. I am a qualified winemaker, and studied minors in both Classical Guitar and Psychology at the University of Western Australia (UWA).
How does this unique combination help you as a student?The Classical Foundation: My formal training at UWA ensures you will learn correct posture, fingerstyle technique, and foundational reading skills right from the start.The Psychology Insight: Learning an instrument as an adult requires patience and the right mindset.
