I hold a Master of Education and am a certified Mandarin (Putonghua) speaker. As a native Cantonese speaker, I bring both linguistic expertise and cultural understanding into my lessons. As a dedicated language tutor with over six years of experience, I tailor every lesson to meet the individual needs and goals of my students. Whether you're a beginner, a school-aged student, or an adult learner, my goal is to make learning Mandarin or Cantonese enjoyable, practical, and effective. My Teaching Approach: I use a communicative and interactive teaching style that combines structured lesson plans with real-life applications. For younger students, I incorporate games, songs, stories, and visual aids to keep the learning fun and engaging. For older students and adults, I focus on conversation practice, pronunciation, reading comprehension, and writing, using role-plays, multimedia materials, and personalized content based on your interests or school/work needs. Lesson Duration: Each lesson typically runs for 60 minutes, but I also offer 30-minute sessions for younger children or intensive 90-minute sessions for exam prep or advanced learners. Qualifications and Experience: Master of Education (current) Certified in Mandarin (Putonghua) Native Cantonese speaker Sub-degree in translation and interpretation Over 6 years of tutoring experience in Chinese for kids, teens, and adults Experience in designing custom lesson materials and communicating with parents Who My Lessons Are For: I welcome students of all levels and ages, including: Primary and secondary school students (homework help, exam prep, speaking practice) Adult learners (for travel, work, or cultural reasons) Heritage learners wanting to connect with their language roots
