About Lillian
I am a chess tutor with over 5 years of experience teaching in-person and online. My philosophy emphasises strategic thinking, tactical calculation, and practical application in all phases of the game.
Lessons are personalised to each student, focusing on openings, middlegame planning, endgames, puzzles, and historical game study. I also teach tournament preparation and mental focus techniques.

I work with The Hobbyist and The Competitive Player, tailoring lessons to individual goals and playing style. Lessons include puzzles, exercises, and live games to reinforce learning. Students learn to anticipate, adapt, and respond confidently.
I provide consistent feedback to refine strategy, tactics, and positional understanding. We study combinations, historical games, and practical scenarios. Students are encouraged to discover their own style and approach.
