**Learn from a Practising Australian Tax and Accounting Professional**

I'm Masoud Habibian, a Registered Tax Agent, Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants (FIPA), former Chief Financial Officer, professional trainer and Co-Founder of Xigma Accountants.

With over 25 years of experience in accounting, taxation, financial management and business advisory, my professional career began at Ernst & Young and progressed through senior corporate finance and executive management roles.

Today, I combine my accounting practice with professional education, helping students, working professionals and business owners develop practical financial and taxation knowledge.

My teaching approach connects technical principles with real-world examples, explaining not only how accounting and taxation systems work, but also why they matter in everyday financial and business decisions.

I believe effective learning should build understanding, confidence and independent professional judgement.

Australian Taxation & Accounting — From Foundations to Advanced Professional Education

With over 25 years of practical experience in accounting, taxation, financial management and business advisory, I deliver personalised lessons that connect technical knowledge with real-world applications.

Three Levels of Learning

Level 1 — Foundation

Designed for students, beginners and individuals seeking a clear understanding of Australian taxation, accounting principles, GST, BAS, bookkeeping and financial statements.

Focus: Building knowledge, understanding concepts and preparing for academic assessments.

Level 2 — Applied Professional

Designed for bookkeepers, accounting professionals, business operators and learners developing practical workplace skills.

Topics include taxation applications, financial reporting, payroll, accounting systems, reconciliations, compliance processes and real-world business scenarios.

Focus: Applying technical knowledge confidently and effectively in professional environments.

Level 3 — Advanced / Executive

Designed for experienced professionals, managers and business owners seeking specialised technical education and executive-level financial understanding.

Topics include complex taxation concepts, advanced financial analysis, professional judgement, financial controls, risk assessment and strategic financial decision-making.

Focus: Developing advanced technical capabilities and stronger commercial judgement through specialised professional education.

My Teaching Method

Each lesson is tailored to your existing knowledge, objectives and learning pace. I use practical examples, realistic case studies, guided exercises and interactive discussions to make complex subjects understandable and relevant.

Sessions generally run for 45–60 minutes and are delivered online.

Note: The Difference Between Learning Levels

Foundation sessions focus on general education, academic learning and assessment preparation.

Applied Professional and Advanced / Executive sessions involve more specialised learning objectives, workplace applications and complex professional scenarios. They are not simply higher-priced versions of ordinary tutoring.

The appropriate level and scope are agreed before booking.

My objective is simple: Help you understand the principles, apply the knowledge and develop the confidence to make informed financial and professional decisions.

**Professional Education — Hourly Rates**

I offer three levels of personalised taxation and accounting education:

**Foundation — $125/hour + GST**

For introductory taxation, accounting, GST, BAS, bookkeeping and financial literacy.

**Applied Professional — From $299/hour + GST**

For practical technical coaching, accounting professionals, business operators and learners requiring more specialised knowledge and applied financial skills.

**Advanced / Executive — From $499/hour + GST**

For advanced technical education, complex taxation and accounting scenarios, executive-level financial understanding and specialised professional mentoring.

**Session Duration:** Generally 45–60 minutes, with fees based on the agreed hourly rate and session duration.

**Delivery:** Online via Google Meet, Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

**Availability:** Weekdays during selected midday hours or after business hours, subject to availability.

**Booking:** Advance booking and payment required. Session scope, duration and applicable fees are confirmed before booking.

**Rescheduling:** At least 24 hours' notice requested, subject to the agreed booking conditions.

**Professional Services:** Tax return preparation, individualised tax advice, accounting engagements and business consulting are separate from educational sessions and are quoted through Xigma Accountants.

**GST-inclusive hourly totals:**
- Foundation: $137.50
- Applied Professional: From $328.90
- Advanced / Executive: From $548.90
