About Anna

I am passionate about classical antiquity and the enduring presence of ancient culture in the modern world. I hold a Master’s degree in Classics and Ancient History and have almost ten years of experience in the field. My research interests lie in classical reception, particularly the use of ancient motifs in contemporary street art, graffiti, and performance. I have also written a book chapter on classical reception in street-art performance. I have presented my work at various international conferences, allowing me to engage with scholars and broaden my academic perspective.

Alongside my research, I have a strong passion for ancient languages. I have studied Latin, Ancient Greek, Sumerian, Akkadian, and Coptic. This broad linguistic background has deepened both my understanding of the ancient world and my enthusiasm for sharing it with others.

About the lesson

I teach Latin and Ancient Greek in a clear, structured, and encouraging way, adapting each lesson to the student’s level, goals, and pace. My approach combines grammar, vocabulary, reading, and translation practice so that students develop both accuracy and confidence. I focus on helping learners understand how the language works, rather than simply memorising rules, and I use step-by-step explanations to make even difficult topics feel manageable. I also like to include guided exercises, text analysis, and regular revision to make learning effective and enjoyable.

My degree in Classics and Ancient History gave me a strong academic foundation in the language, literature, and historical context of Ancient Greek. My aim is to make lessons both rigorous and accessible, so students gain a solid understanding while feeling supported throughout the process.

A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although I can adjust the length depending on the student’s needs and availability. I aim to keep lessons focused and productive, with enough time for explanation, practice, and questions.

I am happy to work with beginners, intermediate learners, university students, and anyone with an interest in Ancient Greek, whether for academic study, exam preparation, or personal enrichment. Lessons can be adapted for children, teenagers, or adults, depending on the learner’s background and objectives.
