About Greg
I’m an experienced aerospace, flight simulation and systems engineer with around 16 years of experience across flight simulation, systems engineering, integration, test, verification and validation.
I began my career as an engineering apprentice and have progressed through hands-on flight simulation engineering, systems engineering on military programmes, and into IVVQ and engineering management within the flight simulation industry.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked on high-fidelity Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTDs) representing 24 different aircraft types, giving me broad experience across commercial, business and military aviation. This includes significant experience with Airbus and Boeing platforms, alongside various business jets and military helicopters.
My background includes extensive experience of Full Flight Simulators and other high-fidelity training devices, with knowledge spanning aircraft systems, avionics, flight dynamics, simulator integration and testing, requirements engineering, systems engineering, verification and validation, qualification and acceptance.
I have also worked in systems engineering on complex military programmes, giving me experience beyond flight simulation and a strong understanding of the wider systems engineering lifecycle.
I currently specialise in IVVQ within flight simulation, covering integration, verification, validation and qualification of complex training systems. I also have significant knowledge of National Aviation Authority (NAA) regulatory requirements relating to FSTDs, including the principles behind simulator qualification, objective and subjective testing, and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Having progressed from an apprentice into senior engineering and management roles, I can also support apprentices, students, graduates and early-career engineers looking to enter aerospace, systems engineering or flight simulation, as well as those looking to develop their technical knowledge or understand potential career paths.
My aim is to make complex engineering, aircraft systems, flight simulation and IVVQ subjects understandable and practical, using real industry experience to explain how the principles are actually applied.

Sessions can be structured around a particular subject you’re struggling with, preparation for an interview or assessment, support with your studies, or simply developing a better understanding of how aerospace and systems engineering works in the real world.
I aim to make complicated engineering subjects easier to understand by using practical examples and explaining the reasoning behind the processes, rather than simply teaching terminology.
You don’t need any previous aerospace experience. I’ll adapt the level and pace of the session to your existing knowledge and what you want to achieve.
