About Valerie
I have been an adjunct instructor at Rock Valley College for 24 years. I have a BFA in Interior Architecture and Photography from Northern Illinois University and an MS in Historic Preservation from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Art is about communication. It is a subjective study, not an objective one. The only way to learn about any aspect of art is to study it, talk about it, and write about it. I excel in encouraging students that have no reference in art whatsoever. Opening the eyes of people who want to experience art in a new and original way.
