About Laura
Hello! I'm a student at New Mexico State University and am looking to do something which I LOVE as well: teaching people how to unlock their creativity and watch them execute self-empowerment with a little help from me. I've collaborated with my father (author, Al Manchester) on many, many articles in several magazines. I just enjoy writing and I want to bring this joy to folks who think that they "can't write". I believe everyone has the ability to express through the written word and also grasp the inherent beauty of language, words, and expression within writing. I can't wait to get started!

I'm a student at New Mexico State diligently pursuing my bachelor's in social work with my focus on family sciences. I am able to give lessons to people from approximately middle school through adult/college students. My lessons will be based on YOUR needs and the genre you are interested in or that is required of you. We will write individually at first without worrying about grammar or punctuation which will help YOU generate ideas! Ideas will help you get excited! Then we'll move to sentence structure, paragraph structure and organizing those ideas. We'll look at the simple essay and we'll keep in mind the "Active Voice" and your own experiences. I'm an energetic tutor and I'm motivated by my love of writing which I will humbly and flexibly communicate to you with the utmost respect at all times. You can open up to me without fear; we're all in this together!
