With 5 years of experience as a Kindergarten and Primary teacher, I’ve had the privilege of teaching children both online and offline. This course is designed to enhance your child's reading skills in English. It is ideal for children who struggle with reading, writing, or understanding English. Using a phonics-based approach (starting with sounds like s, a, t, etc.), the course employs alternative teaching methods that help children grasp English quickly. All 42 letter sounds will be covered in detail.
Classes will primarily be conducted in English. However, bilingual support (English and Tamil) will be provided if the child faces difficulty in understanding certain concepts.
Course content includes:
- Introducing letter sounds through multisensory methods
- Differentiating between vowels and consonants, as well as capital and lowercase letters
- Blending sounds to form words
- Reading CVC (Consonant-Vowel-Consonant) words and 3-5 letter words
- Learning tricky words and sight words
- Understanding the concept of "Magic E"
- Reading simple phrases and grasping their meanings
- Reading short stories and encouraging children to narrate them in their own words.
This course aims to build strong foundational skills in English reading while making the learning process fun and engaging!
