About Arsheen
I developed my love and passion for Mathematics when I was preparing for my GCSEs. I believe this happened because I decided to enjoy what I was learning and this helped me understand the subject well. With my students, my aim is to help them grasp the advanced knowledge by ensuring their foundations are strong. This has helped my students achieve two grades above their predicted grade in GCSE (on average). I have over 15 years of tutoring experience and over 10 years of teaching experience in top schools in London. I have also worked as a tutor for 1st year students at King's College London and as a tutor for the King's Factor. These experiences have enriched my teaching style for A level Maths and Further Maths and also STEP examinations. If you have a query, get in touch. With more than 17 years of experience in tutoring and over 12 years of experience in teaching, my students have loved my approach especially as it is tailored to their needs. The post-pandemic world has not been kind to students and my compassionate yet affirmative approach has helped students gain back their confidence in Mathematics or has helped them develop it further if they were sitting at a very comfortable level with it. As your tutor, we will start with one-hour lessons and I will work with you to understand how many lessons per week you need and whether you will continue benefitting from hour-long or 1.5 hr lessons. For some of my A-level students, we have sometimes had 2 hr lessons as well. It is a very tailored approach depending on your need. My teaching is backed by a Master's degree in Mathematics, 10 years of teaching experience in state and private schools and experience in marking board papers for Year 11 and Year 13. Arsheen gave our son a through grounding in GCSE maths basics, following a year at school in which he just hadn’t been able to follow the syllabus.
