About Reed
My interest in Excel began when I realized how effectively organized data could improve productivity and simplify complex information. This curiosity inspired me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and continue exploring spreadsheet systems, reporting methods, and data management techniques. During the past 6 years, I have helped students improve technical confidence through supportive lessons and practical learning approaches focused on real-world applications.
I believe technical skills become easier when lessons are practical, clear, and encouraging. My teaching style focuses on patience, step-by-step explanation, and adaptable learning methods suited to different confidence levels and learning speeds. I enjoy simplifying complicated spreadsheet tasks into manageable steps so learners can progress comfortably without unnecessary stress. I also encourage students to practice independently because repetition and practical application often strengthen confidence and long-term understanding naturally.
Outside teaching, I enjoy learning about data visualization, productivity tools, and digital reporting systems used in modern workplaces and businesses. These interests help me keep lessons updated and connected to professional environments. Teaching Excel is rewarding because I enjoy helping students become more organized, efficient, and confident while working with data. Watching learners improve their technical skills and use spreadsheets independently remains one of the most fulfilling parts of my teaching experience.

My Excel lessons focus on helping students use spreadsheets confidently for school, business, and professional tasks. I teach topics such as formulas, functions, charts, conditional formatting, pivot tables, and data organization using practical examples and guided activities. Instead of teaching random shortcuts without understanding, I help students learn how spreadsheet tools connect and support efficient data management. This makes learning more practical and helps students improve confidence gradually while using Excel independently.
Each lesson is personalized according to the student’s experience level and learning goals. Beginners focus on workbook basics, formatting methods, simple calculations, and spreadsheet organization through supportive and structured instruction. Intermediate learners improve formula usage, chart creation, data sorting, and reporting techniques through interactive exercises and practical tasks. Advanced students work on automation methods, advanced functions, dashboards, and large dataset analysis through detailed practice activities. Regular revision exercises help improve accuracy, confidence, and long-term technical understanding.
I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel organized and motivated while learning Excel. Many learners initially feel nervous about technical spreadsheets and formulas, but confidence develops naturally once concepts are explained clearly and practiced consistently. My lessons encourage independent thinking, analytical skills, and gradual improvement without pressure. Students often become more efficient and confident while using spreadsheets for academic or workplace tasks. My goal is to help learners use Excel comfortably and effectively in real-world situations.
